As an American, I'm a Hippie and proud

I wanted to share some things about Hippies. A complete American made ordeal despite what south park says.
It started right here in America in the 1960's and traveled all through the world. It still lives today and seems to be getting louder and louder each year; especially with the band Furthur going on tour.
In this time we are enduring some of the same obstacles as those in 1960. War, Oppression, Brink of a Depression. Hippies now are against war and oppression but they are also becoming pretty savvy in political debates and also getting involved in to politics in general. I myself hate political debate, but will if need be.

I myself as a hippie look forward to the future. I want people to have choice and to truly be free. Think about others before yourself, Treat others how you would like to be treated, show compassion and care not hatred and doubt. These are all things from different religions. That's also something that's awesome about the hippie movement, everything is mixing and becoming one huge ball of energy.

It's almost as if being a hippie is some sort of religion it's self. You have your hommies you spend time with on the weekends and then you have your annual trip to a festival or camping destination. You try to practice and learn different tips while you are around these people and events. You take all of it home to practice in real time.....and there's also meditation. Which I guess could equal as praying....but it's really a resting your mind state. I don't like organized religion....so I guess that's why I like the hippie culture. It was/is organized chaos without a leader. :)

Church & Immigration

I've noticed from moving town to town, with my military father, there are many churches of different background. Though the USA was/is built by immigrants, over time those churches unite and become one. I've come to find also that many immigrants take to Christianity specifically. It doesn't matter if they came from China, Japan, Mexico, or Africa; all of the people I have met try to conform through that specific religion. It's not a true calling to the religion or anything it because the church has it's social things organized and such. I can understand why people would conform to this religion (sadly), there's so much you can do and learn from the Christians social programs. You can be introduced to neighbors making it easier to make friends. I understand it's all put there to help or what not. What I don't agree with is how immigrants feel like that's their golden ticket into becoming an "American". Heck, most of us don't know what being an "AMERICAN" is even about or at least we all can't agree on anything. I just don't think immigrants should HAVE to feel that way....What's the point of being free when you have to bend over backwards when you finally get to your destination?

I wish, as Americans, we could all open our arms and welcome everyone. Hope that they are bringing something awesome to the mixing pot and support love, not hate. As Americans, I believe we can and will be better than the older countries because people do care about each other, people do have love to give, and need love to take.

Society and media distracting women

Over time, I have come to realize that the social standards of women alone are plain ridiculous. Women are expected to bare children, keep the house clean, help with finances, and raise children. My main objection to all of this is the silly expectation for women to bare children and keep the house clean. Men should be expected to do the same. In the SAME fashion as women are. Helping with finances and raising children is a no brainier. Every adult whom bares a spawn needs to be held accountable.

I also disagree with the medias manipulation tactics. They sell women magazines and products on all of these topics. Even well renowned books are sold and mainly focused on the women's part in parenting or cleaning, etc. I'm sad to see that many women fall into this swing of expectations and they forget their goals, wants, and sometimes needs.

I'm choosing here and now, NOT to be distracted by media and silly society standards. It's all ridiculous and isn't helping a cause. :) just had to get that out.

Societies Social "norms"

By social 'norms' I mean the expectations that everyone is held to. Church, School, A job, and Pay bills. There's not really anything else than those four things.Saving, investing, and even spending are more due to the media's influence on culture. With that said, all of the media's influences are not social standards. I suppose the social "norms"/standards change in time, however the same four are expected.
Who comes up with these media tactics? Why does it feel like I'm constantly working towards the same goals every month? Why is this so important?

Hygiene

Hygiene is important for many different reasons. It can lengthen your life span and even help you tell if you have a disease. Being clean and taking proper action to skin issues is very important. These are things that your body will use to tell you something is going on or wrong. Pimple, rashes, and boules all say infection or allergy all over them.
Hygiene is especially important if you are having sex with multiple partners or just sex in general. You can lower risk for yeast infections and strange skin funk in the genital area if you wash before and after sex. I almost feel like that's how a lot of sexual transmitted diseases were created. Perhaps STD's were just one strain of skin funk (back in the day) and because of everyone's poor hygiene or inability to get clean and stay clean, these skin funk strains ended up breeding thus giving you crazy infections like the STD's we see today.
I have come to this conclusion due to science news claiming that STD's are slightly changing everyday and that there are sooooooooo many different STD strains out there. (hope to do a video about this soon!) - all in all, keep your junk clean so others don't suffer/ give yourself a longer life span....TAKE A SHOWER. :)

Pubes

Ah yes, hair in the genital areas. I don't like it very much but I know it's there for a reason. Some people go all natural, some wax, shave, or even trim. I however, don't think this is the most important part about the genital area. I also don't think physical attributes are important during sex. It does help with confidence in bed if you feel cleaner or less embarrassed about your pubic regions being clean and in order. I guess it all depends on your partner and their preference. All in all I like pubes, they remind me/us that we are animals still.

Breast Anxiety

BOOBS, How do I feel about them? I'm comfortable now with my breasts/breasts in general.....however when I was younger, I had quite the problem with them. I hung out with mainly boys when I was growing up. I just felt like I had more in common with them (also didn't like the whole out-casting that girls do to each other). My friends would eventually start talking about the girl they liked and how BIG their boobs were. I remember asking them if size matters? and they would ask me the same question. The truth is, it doesn't matter it just helps. I then began to feel handicapped....without big breasts NO guy would like me (that's how I felt anyhow). I started to wear wonder bras, push up bras, water filled bras. All of this stupid money spent on stupid bras. None of it really helped me and the only thing that I can think of that helped me get over this "breast anxiety" was the understanding of breasts, the scientific use, social/societal take on breasts, and the history of breasts (which I hope to make separate videos on or maybe one huge one). I have come to find that in history women were judged by the size of their breasts because they thought it was a sign or ability to bare children (not like having a vagina was enough, boobs were a factor <---durptastic). In finding this information out, I have come to realize that this judgement has continued on through history and devalues women. All the big breasted women get all the attention? Get special favors? Is basically at the top of the totem poll. I believe in equality....and I don't like the way society looks at breasts. ....that is all.
